Key domestic economic indicators for 2022For the whole 2022, real GDP grew by 2.45%.The export order volume reached a new high of US$ 666.79 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.09%.The export trade value reached a new high of US$ 479.52 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.43%. The industrial production index and manufacturing industry production index climbed to 132.87 and 135.05, respectively. This represents a year-on-year decrease of 0.88% and 0.89%.

¢Taipei Econ Overview

As of the end of December 2022, a total of 235,126 businesses were registered in Taipei City. This number declines by 2,275 compared to the previous year, which represents a year-on-year declines of 0.96%. The capital of enterprises in Taipei City reached 14.14 trillion, an increase of 3.46% over the same period last year. The number of registered factories in Taipei City reached 972, an annual declines of 3.38%.

The number of he Profit-seeking Enterprise in Taipei City is 244,354 and the amount of the Profit-seeking Enterprise Income are 17.08 trillion, an annual increase of 10.22%. The tertiary industry had a sales volume of 13.85 trillion, an annual increase of 10.67%. Approved foreign investments in Taipei City amount to US$ 7,220 million, an annual decrease of 41.79%.
