Key Domestic Economic Indicators in 2024Q1: The real GDP grew by 6.56％. The value of export orders reached US$133.32 billion, marking a year-on-year decrease of 2.13％. Total exports were valued at US$110.33 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 12.91％. The industrial production index and the manufacturing industry production index increased to 87.54 and 87.21, respectively, indicating a year-on-year increase of 6.01％ and 6.16％.

As of the end of March 2024, a total of 240,233 businesses were registered in Taipei City. This represents an increase of 4,335 businesses from the previous year, marking a year-on-year growth of 1.84％. The registered capital of enterprises in Taipei City reached 14.82 trillion, up by 4.50％ over the same period last year. The number of registered factories in Taipei City stood at 919, showing an annual decrease of 5.06％.
The number of profit-seeking enterprises in Taipei City amounted to 248,827, with total income from these enterprises reaching 2.84 trillion, an annual increase of 11.44％. The tertiary sector reported sales of 2.30 trillion, achieving an annual growth of 11.83％. Approved foreign investments in Taipei City totaled US$7.98 billion, an annual decrease of 61.28％.
