Background
LRDG is a language training institution from Canada. Its subsidiary was established in Taiwan in mid-2023, with 20 years of establishment in Canada, serving over 250 Canadian government departments and training over 50,000 learners. It has helped numerous Canadian civil servants achieve fluent bilingual communication skills in English and French and successfully pass the national civil service language proficiency exams.
With Taiwan's recent push for bilingual policy, LRDG aims to implement Canada's successful bilingual experience to the Taiwanese market. Through innovative reverse pedagogy systems and online speaking sessions, it adopts a blended learning approach, where learners first self-study to build language knowledge and then attend sessions to enhance their English proficiency. This approach aims to boost Taiwanese people's confidence in spoken English and enable them to use it proficiently in the workplace.
ITO Provide Customized Services
Since 2023, ITO has actively assisted LRDG in understanding the Taiwanese market and participating in trial programs during its early stages. They provided feedback on user experience and suggestions for system adjustments, gradually improving the learning system to better cater to Taiwanese market needs.
ITO offers customized and professional services, assisting the team in applying for Taipei City's startup subsidy program. They provided various application suggestions, helping the team understand Taiwan's educational technology industry ecosystem, bilingual policy planning, subsidy application processes, strategies, development directions, and talent deployment recommendations. This support helps LRDG establish a firm foothold in the Taiwan market and look forward to expanding into the Asia market.
Create Values
Promoting a bilingual policy has always been a proactive direction for the Taiwan government. LRDG aims to transplant its successful English training experience from Canada to Taiwan, targeting the adult English training market. It helps learners from corporate, government, and bilingual teaching backgrounds build speaking confidence and enhance their English speaking skills. LRDG will invest resources in various themed subjects such as business, government scenarios, arts, PE, music, etc., to develop systematic teaching materials for different proficiency levels, filling the current gap in English training for the civil service sector.
Furthermore, LRDG plans to use the Taiwan market as its Asian development base, actively recruiting young talents adept at thinking outside the box to enhance innovation capabilities. In the future, it aims to leverage Taiwan's technological talent advantage by introducing AI-assisted learning management systems and establishing a learning platform exclusively for Taiwanese learners. This will gradually build a positive impression of Taiwanese talent with excellent English proficiency, steadily advancing towards becoming a bilingual nation.
