Visa Categories

Short-Term Stay Visa

For business visits or work activities in Taiwan lasting no more than 180 days.

Long-Term Resident Visa

For individuals planning to reside in Taiwan for more than 180 days.

Permanent Resident Visa

Eligible applicants who invest in or are employed in Taiwan may apply for the Plum Blossom Card, which grants permanent residency status without the requirement to stay in Taiwan for at least 183 days each year.

Employment Gold Card

Taiwan’s Employment Gold Card is a four-in-one visa that combines a work permit, resident visa, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), and re-entry permit. It allows qualified foreign professionals to seek and change employment freely during its validity. The card also includes tax incentives, relaxed regulations for National Health Insurance, and extended visa durations for direct relatives visiting Taiwan.

Entrepreneur Visa

Taiwan offers an Entrepreneur Visa for foreign and Hong Kong/Macao individuals. This visa is ideal for those planning to enter the Taiwanese market, launch a startup, or are in the early stages of entrepreneurship.

Digital Nomad Visa

Specifically designed for digital nomads, this visa provides flexible entry and stay options for individuals working remotely for foreign companies or running international businesses. The visa allows legal stays of up to six months.

Healthcare

Taiwan’s National Health Insurance (NHI) is a government-managed social insurance program. It serves as a cornerstone of public health and social stability, ensuring access to medical services for all residents.
